Lost in the Land of MOOCs and Deeper Learning

This week brought us 1/2 days, delays and snow days... enough time to catch up on grad school assignments, one would think. Yet after hours upon hours of reading, watching videos, curating resources and reflecting, I felt like Rip Van Winkle, awaking to have only completed assignments for one class.  The land of MOOCs is truly a vast one, not to mention the Topic of Deeper Learning.  As my friend Nancy likened our classwork online to being like a rat on crack. I'll make that rat have ADD.  One Ted Talk lead to another, which led to a different, yet related talk, which led to a completely different yet very interesting topic, which led.... to me hunched over my Chromebook, unceasingly squinting at the tiny screen from 9:30 to 4:30. My husband walked in and all I had accomplished that day was a shower...might have brushed my teeth... definitely hadn't made dinner...   But man had I curated!  I had collected enough resources for TWO storifies on Deeper Learning & MOOCs.  Enjoy ....  I'm going to the chiropractor...then to bed.
