Teaching Unit Update.

I have enjoyed being in the classroom to co-teach the technology unit. Last week I posted a video of a young 3 year old learning to use a mouse for the first time.  She was so excited and enthusiastic, it was a joy to watch her.  It was also exactly as we had discussed in class, with her holding the mouse up to the screen to move the cursor instead of sliding it on the table.

I've spent a bit of time tweaking the unit with suggestions from the classroom teacher. Now that the wedding is behind us I hope to be able to be in the classroom more and work with the students on the smart board.  Gina is tech savvy and uses it daily at morning meeting and for music and movement.  I will be introducing the concept of maps in the community unit using both the Big Day map and Google map (as presented by Amy in one of our classes)
