Google sites---don't lose 'em

OK.  I am so completely frustrated right now.  Tonight is the only night I have this week to myself to get as much classwork done as I can.  I have spent over an hour on Google Sites trying to create a web site.  Oh, I can create one easily enough.  But God forbid I actually want to edit it, or add anything.  I got so far as adding a picture to one but couldn't change headings.  So I started another one thinking I needed a template to follow.  Well...no...then I had to delete every element of the template to create the elements I wanted, and the actual elements such as the side bar disappeared.  But only partially.  Just enough so I couldn't edit it.

So I called on my 13 year old son who can do just about anything on the computer.  After 15 minutes even he walked away throwing his hands in the air. I now have 4 incomplete web pages out there in cyber space with no clue how to delete them.

So .. I will find another avenue, as I have my webpage mapped out in my notebook.  I want to find a user friendly, free way to do this.
I should have started with writing about TURKLE.  Her, I get.
